Bin Touq also stressed on the impor- tance of the forum as a platform for dialogue and joint action to develop new paths and opportunities based on the importance of sustainability as a priority and a common denominator in both countries policies. H.E. Osmar Chohfi highlighted that the forum has timely addressed the ongoing trends across the world on the need to inte- grate sustainability in economic goals of nations which also serves as an im- portant pillar in diversifying the econo- my, a thrust pursued by several leading Arab countries.
“Building and maintaining alliances between Brazil and the Arab nations have been the mission of Arab-Bra- zilian Chamber of Commerce. As we approach our 70th year as an impor- tant bridge of cooperation among our countries, we believe that it is about time that we raise our level of engage- ment to include sustainable develop- ment models in our bilateral initiatives. We are confident that today’s forum has opened the doors for increased co- operation in this field for both sides,” he added.

Marwan Al Serkal, CEO of Sharjah Investment and Develop- ment Authority; and Mr. Mahmoud Al Bastaki, Chief Operating Officer of DP World’s The Global Logistics Passport.
The ‘Brazil- UAE: Economic Sustain- ability Forum in the Amazon Region’ witnessed the presence of business leaders and officials from Brazil, the Arab region, and across the world who are keen partners and stakeholders of these nations’ social and economic de- velopment agenda. The forum has pro- vided as well ample opportunities for participants to network and connect with organizations promoting inno- vative solutions on sustainability and contributed to the global community’s call to action on addressing environ- mental impact of human activities on the environment and the mitigation of climate change.
