Do you have any new applications planned in the future?
We are always looking for new strains to study and produce on behalf of our partners and help them enter new markets. From these collabora- tions and from the activities of our Research and Development, of which we are very proud, new applications will certainly be able to be developed for consideration to be used with our probiotics.
I see you have launched a new line of certified ORGANIC products
Yes we have created FLORGANICTM PROBIOTICS, a line of certified ORGA- NIC products to meet the needs of companies and consumers all over the world, in particular the Millenials (25- 36 years), who are those who have adopted a lifestyle and a diet based on ORGANIC products. The demand for these foods is so high that it appears as the third health claim worldwide. Thanks to FLORGANICTM PROBIOTICS we will give our client companies the opportunity to expand their portfolio of ORGANIC products; the different applications of our ingredients range from baby milk, to food supplements, yogurt, chocolate, and much more.
Is "We are Probiotic Makers" your claim?
Yes, because we want to emphasize that we have been producers of Probio- tics since 1934. Today our strain library boasts more than 6,000 bacteria, but the goal is to enrich it continuously.

The acquisition of this leading North American platform, which is expected to close this quarter, will expand Barentz’ activities and is ali- gned with Barentz’ strategy to be- come a global leader in the life sci- ence and broader specialty chemical industries.
A world class distributor and one of the largest specialty suppliers to the HI&I, personal care & pharmaceutical, food & nutrition, and CASE markets across North America, Maroon was founded in 1977 and is based in Avon, Ohio. It generates an annual turnover of approximately $500 million. With leading industry experts, unmatched
technical know-how, and several specialized application laboratories, Maroon shares Barentz’ focus on leveraging industry and technical knowledge to support its suppliers’ and customers’ business develop- ment. Maroon will fit seamlessly into Barentz’ global product portfolio and will have access to synergistic business development opportunities across all of North America.
Hidde van der Wal, CEO of Barentz, anticipating growth and success said that, “Terry Hill (Maroon Group, CEO) brings excellent experience and ‘know- how’. We are very pleased that he will join the Management Board of Barentz and guide us, with his very talented team of approximately 300 specialists, towards a smooth continuation of ex- cellence and growth of both compa- nies.”
