  ‘Hey’, eat plant-based nutrition
Plant-based and vegan nutrition is the most important development of the next decade - this is what 72% of the experts surveyed at the NUTRI- TION HUB stated in the Nutrition 2021 trend report.
A pioneer in the field of plant-based nutrition for 60 years, Deli Reform has recognized its benefits for health and the environment at an early stage. With the new sub-brand Deli Reform Hey, the margarine manufacturer is now deliberately leaving its comfort zone and adding four innovative and purely plant-based product offers for a younger target group to the Deli Reform range. The new vegan fresh creams are available in stores in the flavors natural, paprika and herbs from October 2021 onwards.
A new kind of spread with oat drink will also complement the range. Here, ‘less is more’ counts. Because the se- lected ingredients ensure a lower eco- logical footprint without sacrificing good taste and variety.
A purely plant-based diet, good taste and variety are not mutually ex- clusive. This is the mantra for the new sub-brand Hey, Eat, of the Deli Reform food brand. The products and the de- sign specifically appeal to Generation Y

and Z between 18 and 29 years of age. This younger target group pays par- ticular attention to a plant-based diet for ecological and ethical reasons. Ac- cording to the Nutrition Report 2021, almost every second person in this age group uses plant-based alternative products, which means that interest is growing steadily. Deli Reform Hey, Eat
Herbal Spreads contain no preserva- tives or other artificial additives. They are made from high quality rapeseed oil and shea. The shea nut grows sus- tainably on the shea tree in the free West African nature and is not culti- vated on a plantation. In addition, milk, palm oil and soy are not used. Due to their versatility, Hey products can eas- ily be used as a plant-based alterna- tive in pasta dishes, vegetable bowls or gratins. With various recipes via QR codes on the sealing foils of the prod-
ucts, Deli Reform Hey, eat plant- based encourages the younger generation to try out the products and inspires them to (re) cook.
Oat drink and shea based vegan spread
Oat drinks are enjoying growing popularity in Germany. One in four respondents stated that they had con- sumed oat milk as a herbal alternative in the past three months. [1]”With the new sub-brand Deli Reform Hey, eat plant-based, we are picking up on the dynamic oat trend and thus serving the growing demand for tasty vegan plant-based spreads,” says Harald Guimaraes, Head of Marketing at Deli Reform. The spread also contains natu- ral Omega-3 fatty acids. Preservatives and other artificial additives as well as palm oil are deliberately avoided in the recipe. The vegan butter and mixed fat alternative with a fat con- tent of 58% convinces with its mild oat taste. The fresh product will be available in retail stores from the fourth quarter of 2021.
