Use Nestlé containers and put back for reuse
Nestlé announced the launch of reu- sable containers for Nesquik co- coa powder, Ricoré chicory and coffee drink, as well as Chocapic Bio cereals in partnership with the French retailer Carrefour and Loop – a global circular company. This is part of Nestlé's efforts to reduce packaging through the use of alternative packaging delivery systems.
Consumers can access the cocoa, cof- fee and chicory drink, and cereal products in reusable stainless-steel containers through Carrefour's e-commerce delive- ry platform. By the end of the year, the products will be available online and in 10 Carrefour stores in and around Paris.
Once consumed, the empty contai- ners are collected from the consumer's
home or dropped off by the consumer in the stores. The containers are then cleaned, refilled and put back in Loop platform's circular system.
Experts from Nestlé's Institute of Pa- ckaging Sciences tested the new con- tainers to ensure that they keep the product fresh and safe throughout the shelf-life.
Nestlé’s range of frozen morsels for the little angels
Gerber is Nestlé’s exclusive baby food brand. Last year Nestlé laun- ched a new factory in China, marking the country's first official production of Gerber Nutripuff, a cereal-based snack for kids. Now it enters the frozen food segment with a new exhaustive range of organic morsels based on vegetables and whole grains. Easy to make, the products of the Freshful Start range can be prepared in a few minutes. Best of all, they are free of preservatives, ar- tificial flavors and dyes.
Designed for babies in the age group of 12 months and older, the organic cereal and vegetable bowls come in three varieties. Firstly, the "Tomato and Basil" that is a wholemeal pasta with tomatoes, yellow peppers, courgettes and cabbage. Secondly, the "Mac & Cheese" which is a rich source of cal- cium, containing cheddar cheese and
broccoli, as well as puree carrots and sweet potatoes. Thirdly, the "Southwe- st" gives special importance to iron and has vegetables, black beans and brown rice.
Understanding the teeth develop- ment stage of babies, Gerber also of- fers two varieties of Organic Veggie Bites, ideal for babies to munch. The
first variant provides iron, fiber, cere- als and proteins, as it includes yellow carrot, kale, lentils and quinoa; and second variant based on broccoli, lentils and cheddar cheese, made with natural ingredients that provi- de the right amount of iron, whole grains and fiber.
“Busy families are looking for quick meals for the little ones that provi- de the nutrition their bodies need as they grow older. Parents can rely on Gerber Organic Freshful Start bowls and steaks, nutritious options for little ones' meals. Designed by our experts, options complete like these, introduce young children to a variety of nutritious foods and drinks, helping to establish healthy eating habits from the very be- ginning of their development.", said Dr. Erin Quann, Gerber, Nestlé Nutrition Head of Medical Affairs.
