Divide and mould like never before
The outstanding performance fea- tures of the new SOFT STAR CT, from WP Bakery Group, are the gentle production of dough pieces and a hy- gienic design worthy of its name. For the first time, the drive was success- fully separated completely from the dough-handling area and all functio- nal components were made freely accessible using balcony design. The technical details are hiding inside the machine.
The SOFT STAR CT is a dough divi- der and moulding machine specially developed for multi-shift operati- on that processes a large variety of small baked goods when used as a head machine in roll and fat baking systems. It is designed for dough with a high yield and bowl proofing which is divided with extreme precision in the weight range of 15 g to 180 g (stan-

dard). With a ten rows system this cor- responds to an hourly output of up to 30,000 pieces.
Hygiene standards in the industrial baking process
A multitude of new technical details render the SOFT STAR CT, a dough divider and moulding machine with true hygienic design starting with the complete separation of the machines' engineering parts and dough-handling areas. With all machines currently available on the market there is al- ways a certain portion of the engine technology, e.g. the drive for the feed pistons, located in the area where dough is processed. With the SOFT STAR CT the entire engineering part on the rear side of the machine has been completely separated for the first time.
The new SOFT STAR CT's advan- tages in hygiene become most obvi- ous in the preportioner and the dough chamber. Since the measuring pistons can be removed the measuring drum can be fully cleaned on the inside.
The preportioner of the SOFT STAR CT features new so-called POM co- vers. They match the contours of the rollers exactly, take up the dough from the rollers with a scraper so that the dough is dropped precisely into the intermediate hopper. No more dough can leak on the sides. The POM covers are simply removed from the prepor- tioner for cleaning and washed off. The preportioner itself can be opened tool-free with three tensioners so it is easily accessible and can therefore be thoroughly cleaned in all places out- side and inside for the first time.
